What we will do
This extensive tour to discover the colonial past of Kuala Lumpur and its rich architectural and cultural heritage takes us to significant places of historic importance, such as the place where the first colonialists disembarked along the river bank, Chinatown, the Central Market, the seat of the British Government, the Old Tudor Cricket Club, the Anglican Cathedral and much more.
In addition, we have the chance to witness the preparation of “Teh Tarik” (a pulled tea prepared by pouring the beverage from one cup to another) and of the famous tasty Malaysian fritters.
Our excursion starts in Independence Square, from where we will reach the Sultan Abdul Samad building.
We then continue to the Royal Selangor Club and the Flag Pole.
We will also observe authentic examples of Malaysian architecture near the National Museum and the Anglican Cathedral.
Afterwards, our tour takes us to Benteng, i.e. the place where the Kelang and Gombak rivers meet.
We stop not far from the Jamek Mosque for some photos and enjoy the magnificent view from the bridge.
We then enter Chinatown, where we can admire Millionaire’s Square, the Sin Sze Si Ya Temple and the Central Market, where we enjoy a refreshing drink, as well as the Sri Mahamariamman Temple. * The next stop is the Petaling Street Market.
Finally, our coach takes us to the Petronas Twin Towers for some photos.
