Climb to the top of Corcovado mountain to admire the statue of Christ the Redeemer then descend through the forest into one of the most evocative neighbourhoods of the city only to climb up again to the top of Sugarloaf mountain and see the city from another perspective.

What we will do
  • From the port, we make out way towards the Cosme Velho neighbourhood, we board the train taking us to the top of Corcovado mountain at the basis of the statue of Christ the Redeemer.
  • The statue, the most important symbol of Rio de Janeiro, weighs 1145 tons, it is made of stone and cement and is 30 metres high. It is located on an 8-metre-high pedestal on top of a mountain at 709 metres above-sea-level. We enjoy the amazing 360° view of the city, beaches, Guanabara bay and Pão de Açucar (Sugarloaf Mountain).
  • On our way down, we admire the Tijuca forest with its fantastic vegetation. It is one the largest urban natural reserves in Brazil.
  • We then pass through the Leblón, Ipanema and Copacabana neighbourhoods as far as Praia Vermelha and the Urca district. From here, a cable car ride takes us to the top of Sugarloaf mountain.
  • Its fabulous location offers breathtaking views of the city, its famous beaches, Guanabara Bay and the Corcovado with its statue of Christ the Redeemer.
