  • Our next stop is at the Tamil temple which stands out thanks to the intense colours that decorate its exterior and the entrance colonnade, topped with a structure, also multicoloured, that holds the statues of the gods.
  • We then head to the Pamplemousses botanical gardens, an unmissable stop for every visit to the northern zone, the oldest botanical gardens in the southern hemisphere that date back to 1735.
  • Here we can admire a magnificent collection of local and exotic plants, a variety of giant water lilies, rare plants from the Mascarene islands, baobabs, giant palms and the talipot palm that flowers only after 50 years.
  • We then visit the Château de Labourdonnais, a 19th century colonial house overflowing with period furnishings, with a large patio that surrounds the house and provides a spectacular view of the gardens.
  • At the end of the visit we will be offered a chance to sample delicious fruits and juices before returning to the ship.
