What we will do
  • We reach the lively cosmopolitan city of Berlin, the capital of unified Germany, and go on a sightseeing tour to admire its most significant places.
  • Our first stop is Charlottenburg Palace, the largest historic palace still standing in Berlin after the Second World War. We take a few photos to immortalise its elegant shape, decorated by pillars and Corinthian columns surmounted by statues.
  • We continue with a few symbols of Berlin such as Bellevue Palace, official residence of the President of Germany, the Brandenburg Gate, an imposing Neoclassical monument that has been a point of reference for the city for over two centuries, and the Reichstag, the seat of the German parliament. We also enjoy views of Potsdamer Platz, a urban-architectural masterpiece of the new Berlin.
  • We continue towards East Berlin to retrace the history and atmosphere of the long decades when the city was divided and stop for photos at the East Side Gallery, a long stretch of the famous Berlin Wall now an open-air art gallery.
  • We then return to the Charlottenburg district, where we indulge in some shopping in the Europa-Center or in the nearby KaDeWe, the most famous shopping mall in Berlin.
  • We move on to Checkpoint Charlie, famous crossing point between the Soviet and the US sectors and visit all the sights of East Berlin like Bebelplatz where, in 1933, the Nazis burned the books by authors who had declared themselves against the Third Reich, the new synagogue in the heart of the Jewish district and Alexanderplatz.
  • We end the tour of Berlin with a coffee break to enjoy the evocative atmosphere that characterises the famous Kurfustendamm.
