What we will do
  • We start our tour of Gdansk, the "maritime" capital of Poland, whose history stretches back a thousand years.
  • The excursion will begin with a tour of the old part of the city, which was reconstructed with exceptional precision and is now one of Poland's most magnificent architectonic complexes.
  • One of our first stops will be at St. Mary's Church. It is the largest brick building in Europe and can accommodate up to 25,000 people. Not to be missed inside are: the astronomical clock, the paintings of*the Ten Commandments* and the Seven Acts of Charity and much more besides.
  • We continue on to the City Hall, now seat of the Gdansk museum. Built between 1587 and 1595, and reconstructed after the war, the building remains linked to the memory of the famous astronomer (and brewer) Jan Heweliusz.
  • Leaving the City Hall, we head towards the famous Golden Gate, built in 1612, through which the Kings and their most important guests would access the city.
  • During our trip we will discover many other monuments and important architectural wonders, for example the Artus Court and the Amber Museum.
